This project would be an example of a long-term, larger project thatMaking Wings could offer a client.
From September 8th, 2009 until May 18th, 2010, I created daily drawing tiles, approximately 6 inches by 6 inches in size. There are a total of 240 tiles divided up into 20 panels containing 12 tiles each. Each drawing was completed first thing in the morning and was timed for thirty minutes--whatever was on the page in thirty minutes, that's what was put on the panel. These drawings record the final year that I taught full-time. The project marks the transition from my teaching career into my life as an artist and writer (with excursions into musical composition and who knows what else.) After 59 years on this planet, I've decided to follow my bliss and trust that the Universe will come up with some exciting adventures along the way; this project is the first of many to come.
